Conclusion

En tenant compte de sa spécificité de substrat et de sa grande affinité pour le cellobiose, la â-glucosidase du suc digestif de la larve de Rhynchophorus palmarum (Curculionidae) semble être différente de celles des autres sources enzymatiques étudiées jusqu'ici. Le rôle physiologique de cette enzyme est la digestion du cellobiose et des cellodextrines issue de la dégradation de la cellulose et des hémicelluloses du palmier. L'enzyme pourrait être utilisée comme outil de choix dans l'analyse structurale des oligosaccharides, des polysaccharides, des glycoprotéines et des glycolipides.
