Réduction du risque cardiovasculaire par la médecine physique en milieu de travail à la Société Nationale d'Electricité

CONCLUSION

Ce travail décrit une population en milieu de travail caractérisée par un haut risque cardiovasculaire.

Ce haut risque cardiovasculaire, ignoré par cette population,est constitué des fréquences très élevées d'hypertension artérielle, d'inactivité physique, d'obésité, de diabète sucré, d'hypercholestérolémie totale, de tabagisme par cigarettes et de consommation excessive d'alcool.

La prise en charge basée uniquement sur un programme d'activités physiques a eu un impact significatif sur la réduction du niveau de risque cardiovasculaire dans cette population.

RECOMMANDATIONS

Au seuil de ce travail, les recommandations suivantes sont formulées :

- au Ministère de la Santé publique de rendre effectif le programme de lutte contre les maladies chroniques non transmissibles ;

- aux Médecins et aux autres Professionnels de la santé de considérer le traitement non pharmacologique des maladies chroniques non transmissibles comme fondement de tout traitement médicamenteux et de réhabilitation ;

- aux Responsables du département de Médecine Physique d'encourager les étudiants dans la prévention et la recherche pour la promotion de la santé cardiovasculaire ;

- aux Cadres dirigeants de la SNEL d'utiliser les données de la présente étude pour redynamiser la Médecine du travail.
