The Access to clean water on campus has been precarious for two decades and that is due to multiple difficulties encountered by the agency in charge of water supply named REGIDESO (National company in charge of the drinking water supply in urban areas: production, distribution and commercialization) to provide clean water to the entire country and specifically to Kinshasa city.

The University of Kinshasa is one of the hot pot of potable water scarcity and water supply remains a limiting factor that negatively impacts the life quality and the scientific productivity. Indeed, water related diseases are regularly experienced on this university campus. Contributions for sustainable solution are advised and my research work should be considered as one of them.

This study is screening the way to solve the problem. It comprises five chapters: the general introduction in the first chapter, defines the limits of the problem of clean water distribution on the university site, defines some key concepts and gives the summary of the literature review, describes the area of study; the second chapter describes the material and the methods used; the third chapter, finally, presents and discusses all results of the study followed by the fourth and fifth chapters dedicated to technical and financial analyses, respectively. Finally, a conclusion and recommendations are driven.

The analysis of the functioning of the existing network and the study of implantation of the four drillings, whose capacity is estimated around 30m3/h, the functioning of the forthcoming networks selected in three plots of which being plot 1, is located at both the university clinic and the Post university school which has the length of 3474m, it has the daily needs of 404.586m3 per day, from the tank which has the capacity of 846m3, plot 2 which is counted from the university faculties passes by the area called General Intendance has got the length of 6120m, the daily needs is estimated around 432m3/per day, from the tank which has the capacity of 903m3 and the plot for the area called Plateau de Résidents and the students dormitory has the length of 18881m, the need of water is estimated around 1697.592 m3 per day from the tank of which the capacity of 3548m3; mind you, the length the network per se has been handled in chapter four whereas chapter five gives us the financial and economical analysis of the project (it is like the total cost of investment respectively equals to 699.210 € for a plot, 743.197€ for plot 2 and 1.846.324 € for plot 3; within 25 years of the current project, the rate of profit varies from 20% in the first year to 42% in the year 25 for plot 1; 21% in the year 1 to 48% in the year 25 for plot 2; 74% in the year 1 to 161% in the year 25 for plot 3;...) before the conclusion which follows from it. The durability and the viability of the project are ensured by the efficiency of technical measures (maintenance of equipments, the renewal of the infrastructures) and financial as well as the permanence of service and the active participation of the beneficiaries.
